Dear Fellow UBCP/ACTRA Members,

Some good news we can report today – staff are in the process of sending out almost 2500 residual cheques.

As well we have heard from Warner Bros that the team member from “Riverdale” who was tested for COVID-19 last week has subsequently tested negative. We hope that this will help alleviate the concerns of our members who worked on Riverdale last week.

The Federal government has announced a series of changes to the Employment Insurance Act to include workers who do not normally qualify for E.I, e.g. performers.

We anticipate that Parliament will put this announcement into action. However this is not certain.
