Stars Vancouver, BC (October 15, 2021) — With just five weeks to go until its 10th annual awards ceremony, UBCP/ACTRA, the autonomous branch of ACTRA in British Columbia, has officially announced this year’s nominees. The highly anticipated virtual award ceremony will highlight an online red carpet experience, and honour entertainers in six categories, for their outstanding performances in the past year. The evening is dedicated to not only showcasing some of BC’s best in film and television, but also celebrating the industry’s progression towards greater diversity on Canadian screens. The UBCP/ACTRA Awards will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021. “As we enter our 10th year celebrating Canada’s brightest talents in film and TV, we’re thrilled to host this virtual event and offer a special opportunity for our members and the public to come together to recognize the innovative and imaginative individuals working in our industry,” said Ellie Harvie, UBCP/ACTRA President. “We look forward to showcasing the people that have gone above and beyond during unending changes and uncertainty to bring us the films and shows we love.
